NCSA GitLab
Authentication
The Git web interface uses NCSA authentication through CILogon.
NCSA passwords can not access repositories with Git clients. Instead use ssh keys over SSH or personal access tokens over HTTPS.
Intended Usage
NCSA's GitLab service primarily exists to support private repositories with NCSA 2FA authentication. Users not needing this stronger authentication are encouraged to instead use NCSA GitHub which is part of the University of Illinois System Shared GitHub Service. Refer to other version control tools at NCSA for more details.
